3.2.1 Compact, portable sign stands shall be capable of holding 36” and 48” diamond roll-up signs a minimum of 12” off the ground. 3.2.2 They shall have 4 (four) legs capable of telescoping in or out to utilize both 36” and 48” diamond shaped signs. 3.2.2.1 Each leg, when telescoped out, shall positively lock in the extended position by way of a corrosion resistant steel “push” button type mechanism. 3.2.2.2 Each leg shall have 3 (three) positive locking positions; vertical for storage, and two additional horizontal positions for adjustment on uneven terrain. 3.2.2.3 Legs shall be manufactured for long life utilizing aluminum or hot-dip galvanized steel. 3.2.3 The frame, spring(s), and mast of the stand shall be fabricated of stainless steel, electro-deposit zinc coated steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, powder coated steel, or other material determined to have similar or greater longevity and corrosion resistance. The stand shall have the ability to flex if necessary, allowing the complete assembly to have additional wind spilling capability beyond that which is provided by the sign ribs.
