1. The curbside collection and transportation of (non-hazardous) residential Municipal Solid Waste to the City’s Transfer Station located at 81 Rushton Street in Sanford, Maine; and 2. The curbside collection and transportation of single-sort recycling as accepted by ecomaine, who hold the City’s downstream recycling contract, to their facility in Portland, Maine. Proposals should include alternatives based on the following program options to be best suited to the City of Sanford’s specific desires, needs, and requirements. Responsive firms should have viable proposals in at least one of the alternatives below. Firms are encouraged to submit additional alternatives for the City’s consideration. A. Continuation of manual collection and PAYT program as outlined above. B. Automated collection with carts metered by the PAYT program C. Automated collection with carts metered by periodic charges to Residents
