Phase 1 Description Phase 1 of this project is focused on design and associated tasks. The City anticipates the scope of work for this phase will include some or all of the following listed activities. Other related scope items not listed below may also be included. • Kickoff meeting with city project manager and other staff including a walking tour of the site. • Consultant reviews prior work completed using the concept design report to include the 2023 assessment, and preliminary siting and design recommendations by Integrus Architecture and TCA Inc. • Design of fire stations with their primary and potential auxiliary uses including the following: o Assistance with required permitting. o Assistance with public outreach o Collect traffic counts, speed data at SR-195 Cheney-Spokane Road interchange and near the proposed entrance to Fire Station #5 in order to help determine the appropriate ingress/egress locations. o Review existing topographic survey data and collect additional survey where needed. o Conduct subsurface investigations, provide geotechnical and structural evaluations and design for walls where needed on the alignment. o Coordinate with city and private utilities during design to identify and design for impacts to water, sewer, electrical, gas, stormwater and other utilities. o Prepare 30%, 60% and 90% plans and final PS&E package for bidding. • Bid phase assistance – responding to contractor questions during bidding, prepare supporting docs for bid addendums as need, review bid results. Optional Phase 2 Work Description Phase 2 of this project is for construction phase assistance (note that construction phase funding has not yet been secured). Construction phase assistance may include the following. • Assist the City in responding to RFI’s during the construction phase. • Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design and engineering documents and adherence to best practices.
