Imperial County needs reliable trucking/hauling services to pick up, haul and deliver asphalt concrete mix and/or aggregate materials from commercial material suppliers in Imperial County to various county road projects within Imperial County. The County performs routine road maintenance on a variety of unpaved and paved roads where these materials are needed. The County has limited available trucks, and therefore needs to rely on private sector trucking services on an As-Needed, On-Call basis. The majority of need is from Spring through late Summer within a calendar year period. The services may be needed for specific road maintenance projects, but also if any countywide road emergencies require materials due to wash outs, earthquake/seismic activity, or other circumstances.
