The City of Greenville and Duke Energy are partnering in an overhead utility clean-up projectto underground and remove overhead utility crossings and service lines along E. Stone Ave at the block between Bennett Street and Vannoy Street. The project’s scope includes, but is not limited to, materials, labor, equipment, permits, traffic controls, utility locates and investigations; all necessary for the successful completion of the work in 60 days starting with day one of construction; weather permitted. The work can be performed by either directional bores or open trench depending on the contractor’s preferred method of construction. The project can also be done in combination of open trench and direct bores as the best practice to be achieved. The PME pad and handholds will be provided to the contractor for installation.
