1. Initial Research The Proposer will work with town staff to compile relevant GIS data and other information, including any relevant plans, existing trails, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, reports, identify permanently protected open space, schools, parks and other town facilities, infrastructure and prepare summaries and presentations to support discussion of town history, current housing policies and existing and potential multifamily housing, including types and densities and an assessment of potential locations for supporting current and future residents and patrons of local businesses in and around the MCMOD. The initial kickoff meeting with the Proposer may include a tour of the project area, and review of relevant maps and data and discussion of project goals and design opportunities. 2. Public Engagement Aside from project meetings with Town staff, the Proposer will be expected to conduct at a minimum conduct 3 public meeting forums, which may include focus groups with current residents, business owners, property owners, and/or community members with an interest in trails and open spaces. The Consultant shall meet with appropriate town Boards and Committees such as the Select Board, Planning Board, Commission on Disability, Pedestrian Safety Committee, and/or Affordable Housing Trust Committee. The Proposer shall also be responsible for the presentation of the proposed plan and addressing questions at any public workshop(s). The Proposer shall also engage stakeholders to identify the most appropriate areas to establish pedestrian accommodations by conducting an online public survey.
