The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) seeks to procure portable wheel load scales for the purpose of enhancing its weight enforcement operations and at the same time update older inaccurate weight scales. These portable scales are intended to provide an efficient, accurate and reliable solution for the measurement of axle loads on commercial vehicles. The purpose of these wheel load scales is to provide a Realtime weight measurement to make sure commercial vehicle are complying with all relevant State of Illinois regulations and standards regarding vehicle weight enforcement (23 CFR 657-01). SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: 1.2.1. Quantities: It shall be expressly understood by the vendor that the estimated quantities specified in the contract documents are for evaluation purposes. Illinois Department of Transportation reserves the right to decrease any quantities required. 1.2.2. Specifications/Questionnaire: It shall be the vendor’s responsibility to download the specification/questionnaire attachments. The following specifications and supporting documents are hereby made a part of this contract. Please submit one copy of the questionnaire and any supporting literature with the contract. This information shall be clearly marked to indicate the make, model, and accessories proposed to be furnished. • 931-60-10 dated December 2024 1.2.3. Remanufactured Equipment: Remanufactured and/or reconditioned equipment will not be accepted. All equipment shall be newly manufactured. 1.2.4. Warranties: Vendor shall provide detailed information concerning warranties of commercially acceptable quality, function, performance, service and any other warranties offered if requested by Illinois Department of Transportation.
