The primary objectives of the project are to: • Improve safety and security for park visitors through enhanced lighting coverage. • Upgrade the existing lighting infrastructure with modern, energy-efficient LED technology. • Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations while maintaining the park's visual appeal. Work Requirements The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: 1. Pre-Construction Services 1.1. Conduct an onsite, pre-construction meeting with the Park Projects Manager and Parks Operations to review project requirements, staging areas, site access, and existing conditions. 1.2. Obtain and bare the costs of all necessary permits and approvals required to execute the project. 1.3. Develop a project schedule and provide regular updates to the Park Projects Manager. 2. Site Preparation and Removal 2.1. Remove and legally dispose of existing lighting fixtures, poles, wiring, and associated components. 2.2. Protect existing infrastructure, including fencing, sidewalks, grass fields, and adjacent structures, from damage during construction. 3. Installation of New Lighting 3.1. Install new LED lighting fixtures and poles as specified in the photometric design and new lighting map (Appendix 1 Photometric Design and Appendix 2 New Lighting Map). 3.2. Ensure proper wiring, mounting, and alignment of all fixtures. 3.3. Install additional lighting in designated areas to improve visibility and coverage. 4. Electrical Work 4.1. Complete all necessary electrical work, including wiring, pole installation, and connections. 4.2. Ensure compliance with the City’s electrical codes and safety standards. 4.3. Provide proper grounding and surge protection for all fixtures. 5. Testing, Commissioning, and Quality Control 5.1. Test all installed lighting systems to verify proper functionality and performance. 5.2. Adjust aiming and lighting levels as necessary to meet the photometric design. 5.3. Conduct a final inspection with the Park Projects Manager and other relevant agencies. 5.4. Prepare a punch list of any remaining work or corrections and complete all items before project closeout.
