The purpose of this project is to procure and install a new gymnasium divider curtain, including all associated demolition, disposal, and electrical work as required. The scope of services for this project includes the following: 1. Design and Fabrication of Divider Curtain o Supply and install a gymnasium divider curtain with approximate dimensions of 70'-0" in width and a height of 45'-0" at the center pitch. o The curtain should feature an 8’-10’ solid vinyl material on the lower section for durability, with the upper section composed of mesh to allow visibility and airflow. o Curtain design should incorporate custom graphics as specified, with the graphics placement and design to be determined in collaboration with the City. 2. Electrical and Mechanical Specifications o Provide an electric winch system with a 2-3 HP motor for raising and lowering the divider curtain. The winch should be capable of smoothly operating the curtain with minimal noise and efficient performance. o Install a Power Touch Display electronic relay panel that enables operational control from the facility’s front desk. This will allow staff to raise or lower the divider remotely, ensuring user convenience and enhancing safety. 3. Safety and Security Features o Incorporate a safety lock feature in the winch system to prevent unintentional movement of the curtain when it is in the raised position. o Ensure that all safety components meet applicable standards and guidelines to prevent accidental lowering or potential hazards to facility users. 4. Demolition and Disposal of Existing Curtain o Safely dismantle and remove the existing gymnasium divider curtain, including any associated materials and components. o Dispose of all demolition debris in accordance with local regulations, ensuring an environmentally responsible removal process. 5. Installation and Testing o Install the new divider curtain, ensuring it is securely affixed and operates as designed. o Conduct thorough testing of the curtain system, including the winch, relay panel, and safety lock, to verify smooth and safe operation. o Provide training to designated City personnel on operating and maintaining the divider curtain and related control systems. Additional Requirements: • All materials and workmanship shall meet or exceed applicable industry standards. • The awarded contractor shall be responsible for obtaining any necessary permits and coordinating with the City for work scheduling to minimize disruptions. • Documentation and as-built drawings must be provided upon completion.
