Maricopa County (County) intends to award one or more contracts to Administrative Services Only (ASO) dental claim administrator(s) to provide a traditional PPO network (participating and non-participating providers), claims processing, customer service, and reporting for a self-insured group preferred provider organization (PPO) dental plan. Administrative Services should be the same or better than current County PPO dental plans, with a focus on administrative efficiency, a high level of customer service, a national provider network, and an effective use of technology to carry out these services. The County will also consider recommendations on improvements in plan design features that align the plans more competitively with current market plan coverage levels and clinical dental standards. Tiered network proposals are accepted but must include disruption reports, network comparisons, and claims repricing.
