1. The project scope consists of replacing the existing aluminum clad wood windows with energy efficient low-e fiberglass windows. All work shall be in accordance with Documents prepared by SOCOTEC AE Consulting, LLC. The intent is to provide energy efficient fiberglass windows that are leak free and weathertight. At project completion, Contractor shall provide a written guarantee that covers all defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from date of acceptance. Guarantee shall stipulate that if any of the work is found to be defective, is not sound and durable, is not leak free and weathertight, or otherwise not in accordance with the contract documents within two (2) years of final completion, the Contractor shall repair and/or remove and replace the defective work at no cost to the Owner. The window replacement work area locations are shown on the Drawings. 2. Roller shades to be installed at all new fiberglass windows: Alternate Bid No. 1. 3. All louver sealant and control joints are to be removed & replaced as Alternate Bid No. 2.
