The Clackamas County Children, Family, and Community Connections Division (“CFCC”) has been awarded a federal Drug-Free Communities Grant to support the CPC in their efforts to reduce youth substance abuse. The goal of the grant is to identify and implement substance use prevention strategies specific to the Canby Latinx Community in order to address individual, family, and community-based risk levels and protective factor that influence youth substance use. CFCC is seeking a contracted consultant to serve as the Canby Prevention Coalition Project Coordinator guiding all coalition activities, project planning, and provide support and implementation of culturally responsive programing to address unique risk factors faced by Latinx youth to reduce disparities in access to prevention education for Latinx families. In collaboration with Clackamas County, the CPC Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating activities associated with the coalition to include providing general oversight for coalition activities and associated projects; grant development; state and national reporting; and technical assistance to local and regional coalitions and partnerships. The Coordinator will work with community partners to realize CPC’s mission of health substance-free environments.
