The Department of Nature Resources (DNR) has a business opportunity and is requesting proposals to select a Contractor who can maximize the opportunities for all Minnesotans and visitors to the state to access and experience state park infrastructure in the ways allowed according to the park plan. In return for direct access to guests of Glendalough State Park and use of the park property, the chosen contractor will be required to pay a minimum of 10% of gross sales to the State of Minnesota. As part of this contract, the concessionaire will be required to sign a no fee lease granting the use of the trail center building, adjacent outdoor storage areas, parking lot, and watercraft storage locations on the lakes. In lieu of a lease fee, the Contractor will be required to perform routine maintenance of these areas to keep them safe, clean, functional, and attractive for visitors.
