Fort Bend County is requesting Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from professional engineering consulting firms (“Respondent”) to provide comprehensive engineering design and implementation services for water and wastewater plant improvements for two locations within the City of Orchard, Texas. Location one (1) for water plant improvements consists of design services for the removal and replacement of existing booster pumps at the City of Orchard Water Plant. The facility is located at 210 Kansas Street, Orchard, Texas 77464. The selected engineering consultant will be responsible for preparing engineering construction plans for the removal of existing booster pumps and installation of new replacement pumps, including necessary piping system modifications, electrical system upgrades, and chemical injection system relocation. Location two (2) consists of design services for wastewater treatment plant improvements at the City of Orchard Wastewater Plant. The facility is located at 10127 Wayne Street, Orchard, Texas 77464. The selected engineering consultant will be responsible for preparing engineering construction plans for the installation of drying beds and a backup generator system, including necessary site preparation, structural design, electrical system integration, and equipment specifications. The scope encompasses the design of drying beds along the existing fence line to optimize sludge management operations, as well as the implementation of a backup generator system mounted on a 10-foot by 10-foot by 10-foot concrete pad within the facility grounds. The improvements are designed to enhance operational efficiency by reducing external sludge hauling requirements and ensuring continuous facility operation during severe weather events
