Project Overview: The Town of Hamden is accepting proposals for a consultant who will provide expertise and support to small business owners in accessing funding for facade design and development, start-up funds to purchase inventory, as well as for leasing and purchasing equipment. Additionally, the consultant will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the needs for properties located south of Dixwell Avenue between Goodrich Street and Millis Street. Objectives: 1. Assist small business owners in identifying and accessing financial resources for: • Facade design and development • Equipment leases and purchases 2. Conduct a thorough assessment of the properties in the specified area to determine the needs and opportunities for business development. Services: 1. Consultation and Support for Small Business Owners • Develop and deliver workshops or one-on-one sessions on funding opportunities available for small businesses, specifically focusing on facade improvements and equipment purchases. • Create informational materials that outline various funding sources, including grants, loans, and other financial assistance programs. • Provide personalized assistance to business owners in preparing applications for funding, including business plans, financial statements, and project proposals. • Facilitate connections between business owners and potential funding sources, including local government agencies, non-profits, and private investors. 2.
