DAT Sign Wording and Placement of Wording The center background piece should be made from 6mm Aluminum Composite Panels. The background piece should be approximately 9’ wide and approximately 3’6” tall and should be a neutral color (off-white, grey, beige, or similar is acceptable) with all lettering in a black color. The wording should be centered horizontally and vertically, and all lettering should be mounted on the center background piece. The wording on both sides of the sign should be identical. The first two lines should be approximately 6” tall and the letters of the words of the last line should be approximately 4” tall. The lettering should be approximately 1” thick. The width of the sign face will dictate the width of the letters in consideration of the height of the letters.
