The City of Lawrence invites vendors interested in providing a variety of miscellaneous food item products, as needed and required, by the Lawrence Public Schools’ Nutrition Services Department; Miscellaneous Food Item Products will be ordered on a weekly basis. Orders will be placed for Miscellaneous Food Product Items on a regular weekly delivery schedule. Inside deliveries shall be made weekly. When an emergency situation exists, which might prevent the contractor from delivering, the contractor shall notify the Nutrition Services Department immediately so other arrangements can be made. First quality, U.S. Grade A, vegetarian type, minimal salt and fat content, 6/#10 cans. Black Beans, Kidney Beans, Garbanzo Beans, and pinto type. Product shall have been produced in the U.S., in accordance with good commercial practice and with the Buy American Provision in the NSLP. First quality, whole-wheat bagels, assorted flavors, minimal salt and fat content, 51% whole grain rich, zero trans fats, individually wrapped (IW). Equivalent to (2) grain serving (56 oz.). All grains must meet USDA Whole Grain Rich Ounce Equivalency Requirements for Schools Meals Programs. Product shall have been produced in the U.S., in accordance with good commercial practice and with the Buy American Provision in the NSLP.
