The Port Angeles Middle School Modernization and Addition is the modernization of the existing 23,200SF gym building and a new ground up 84,7263SF 3- story middle school. Once the modernization and additions are complete the existing classroom building and portables will be abated and demolished followed by extensive site improvements. Upgrades and New Construction Include: Existing Gym; Extensive seismic upgrades; New MEP systems and equipment; New roofing, new athletic bleachers, and upgraded interior athletic spaces/offices & finishes; New Classroom Building; Learning spaces, admin offices, commons, MEP service rooms, music, library, and kitchen; Extensive exterior canopy structure; Site; Significant site clearing, earth movement, utilities, and site upgrades including bio-retention ponds; New service yard, parking, bus loop, outdoor learning areas, and commons/entry plazas; ROW work at North Alley and D street
