Provide mandated professional dental services for youth under the care and custody of the STATE at the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility (HYCF). The goal of the proposed professional dental services is to provide and maintain healthy dental hygiene and preventive dental care, reduce the need for dental treatment, like fillings and extractions, avoid toothaches, bleeding gums, or infected teeth, maintain the look and well-being of youth dental care, prevent tooth decay and gum diseases. The PROVIDER shall also provide the following dental services for the youth under the care and custody of the STATE: 1. Mandated dental examinations, treatment and instruction in dental care to youths committed to HYCF. These services shall include general dentistry of a variety of acute and chronic oral health problems, including but not limited to restorative, prophylactic, endodontic, prosthodontic and periodontal services. 2. Provide dental services to the HYCF incarcerated youth on a regular part-time schedule. 3. Provide staff to conduct dental services at the PROVIDER’s location and/or the HYCF location (when applicable).
