Number of Units Required – Six (3 pairs for 3 individual school zones) Solar Panels and Battery Systems • Units shall be equipped with solar panels and batteries and sufficiently sized to operate the system for yearround operation. • Batteries shall be replaceable in the field. • Solar system shall be capable of powering up to three 12” LED Beacons. • 40W to 50W minimum Solar Panel Required. • Solar panel shall be affixed to the top of pole or side of pole. Electrical Components • Wiring shall be available as non-proprietary. • Two 12" Amber Beacons w/Visors and Mounting Hardware included per unit. • 12” Beacons able to be mounted in a vertical configuration (one above, and one below a 24x48 MUTCD school zone sign). • Cabling shall be included with each unit that is sufficiently sized for power and length required for all components. • LED beacons shall conform to the Standard of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). • All electrical components and batteries shall be contained and watertight. Pole & Mounting Hardware • 15' Aluminum 3.5" – 4.5" diameter Round Pole w/base and anchor bolts included with each unit. • 3.5" – 4.5" diameter round pole mount brackets included for beacons, solar panel, & electrical components / cabinets. • All hardware shall be provided for the installation of the unit (excluding banding)...
