1. WCPS will furnish all paint for the projects. Contractor is responsible for providing accurate take‐offs in timely manner to WCPS to order the material to prevent delays in schedule. Owner will not be responsible for delays due to untimely material requests. 2. Contractors may work at schools from June 12th to August 15th, Monday to Thursday between the hours of 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Schools will not be open on Fridays or on Holidays – Coordinate schedule with owner. 3. Classroom numbering is accurate to the best of WCPS Facilities knowledge. Classroom numbering may change at any point due to school needs. For any discrepancy, the physical location indicated on the marked up floor plans supersedes classroom numbering at the school. 4. Contractor to furnish labor, materials, and equipment, excluding paint, to complete the projects. 5. Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing, installing, and maintaining temporary protection of all existing substrates and finishes for the duration of project. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to existing finishes due to lack of and/or poorly maintained protection. 6. Contractor to provide all means of access to the locations being painted. Coordinate with the owner accordingly. Contractor responsible for all damage to interior or exterior caused by contractor equipment or systems. 7. Contractors shall prepare all substrates in accordance with interior and exterior painting specifications and manufacturer requirements. 8. Contractors shall paint all indicated substrates in accordance with the interior and exterior painting specifications and manufacturer’s requirements. 9. Freshly painted substrates shall not have any visible deficiencies or blemishes 10. Spot prime all drywall repairs 11. Contractor to apply appropriate joint sealant or caulk at paint‐to‐paint transitions for different substrates and transitions between paint to non ‐painted substrates (For Ex: wall to door frame transition and/or wood trim to vinyl J Channel transition). 12. Contractor to coordinate work with owner. The owner is responsible for clearing all decoration and furniture from elevations scheduled to be painted, to the best of their capabilities. Coordinate ahead of time with the owner regarding items that need to be relocated to prevent delay. 13. WCPS will provide Drywall/Gypsum compound for repairs. Contractor to provide labor, tools, equipment to complete repairs. Provide owner allowance costs, as indicated, as part of base bid.
