DESCRIPTION 1.1.1. Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and services necessary for and reasonably incidental to complete the Firestopping work as indicated on the drawings or specified. 1.1.2. Section includes Firestopping of all penetrations (both new and existing) through fire and smoke barriers in new and/ or existing construction, including but not limited to,: A. Voids around: 1. Pipes 2. Ducts 3. Conduits 4. Cable trays 5. Cables and wires not in conduit 6. Structural members 7. Non-structural members 8. Abandoned penetrations B. Extent of Fire and smoke barriers as indicated in the documents. C. At new and existing walls & floor slabs, close all opening(s) in rated partitions to maintain designated rating, created under this scope of work. D. Repair all penetrations made in error under this scope of work. E. Repair penetrations, which are too large to be sealed by methods indicated. These penetrations shall be sealed by the contractor to match adjacent finishes, without compromising the rated assemblies.
