• Weekly collection of used needles at kiosk locations established by the City of Minneapolis. Needle collection and disposal will occur at a scheduled time each week and would include collection of needle debris in the immediate vicinity of the fixed kiosk locations. Agency would document with digital images of the kiosk locations to help describe usage and effectiveness of the collection devices. • Weekly collection of needle debris from participating business owners or City of Minneapolis collections points (i.e. fire stations, police stations, City maintenance garages). The Agency will provide local businesses with proper collection containers. Agency will schedule periodic collection of the needle debris with participating business entities in conjunction with other collection activities in the neighborhoods. • Respond to 311 RFS for needle and syringe pickup and disposal as needed. • Conduct needle sweeps in areas of the City upon request and as needed. • Provide awareness training sessions for City of Minneapolis entities and/or public forums to describe proper handling and disposal of needle debris. • Community outreach related to substance use including prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction.
