MHD Medical Consultant responsibilities 1. Provide medical direction and consultation to Department staff, including but not limited to: o Reviewing and signing condition specific protocols or standing orders for immunization clinics. o Providing advice on development and reviewing new clinical protocols for services provided through the mobile medical unit. o Providing advice on epidemic control. 2. Provide clinical supervision for nursing staff assigned to these programs. 3. Provide consultation regarding client care as needed to the nursing staff assigned to these programs. 4. Advise MHD leadership (commissioner; deputy commissioner; division director; and the managers for the Opioid Response, Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health, and Emergency Preparedness programs) regarding the development of new protocols and procedures to ensure best practices and quality care is provided to clients. 5.
