Provide education and/or training programming relating to the Green Careers Exploration Program. Provide youth and young adults ages 5-24 years old with education, hands on learning, training, relevant credentials, and wraparound services to bolster interest in and/or enter green career pathways. Organizations will be compensated by the City of Minneapolis through a reimbursement process. The program offers reimbursement of $10,000-$50,000 for organizational capacity costs relating to your program. Eligible Applicants’ exposure, education, hands on experience, and skills development may include, but are not limited to: • Renewable energy (i.e. Solar installation) • Energy Efficiency and Weatherization • Green Infrastructure (i.e. Rain Gardens, Tree Planting, Forestry) • Urban agriculture • Green Building Construction (i.e. Building Science Principles, Passive Solar Housing, LEED) • Lead Hazard Control • Recycling or Waste Management Main Requirements: • Provide green career education, exposure, field experience, skills development, and/or credentialing • Support youth and young adults in exploring green career and public health opportunities • Support Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other communities of color youth and young adults who are underrepresented in green career pathways • Complete a post‐program feedback evaluation for youth and young adults (Provided by the City) and provide participant demographics data to the city Preferred Requirements: • Willingness/ability to meet City’s climate equity goals, project goals and participant needs to perform duties • Recruit youth and young adults from Minneapolis Green Zones • Provide accredited and/or industry endorsed training opportunities that may lead to credits and/or credentials • Education and training sites in Minneapolis and/or within access to public transportation
