2) Travel: a) Travel to alternate training locations throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky may be required. b) In accordance with 200 KAR 2:006 and GCRC Policy Statement #98-1, instructors will be reimbursed for transportation, meals and lodging for any required travel for instruction at any location other than the DOCJT satellite office located in Madisonville, KY. 3) Instructional topics to include: a) State and Constitutional law, with strong focus on Fourth Amendment law including searches and seizures; and warrants and Fifth Amendment law including interrogations; b) Evidence; c) Case Preparation; d) Writing Legal Documents; e) Law Enforcement Liability; f) Driving Under the Influence; g) Vehicle Offenses; h) Domestic Violence Law; i) Juvenile Law; j) Laws of Arrest; k) Court Testimony; l) Kentucky Penal Code; and m) Kentucky Rules of Evidence 4) Responsibilities to include: a) Instructional preparation and presentation of KLEC approved Legal Training Section training material; b) Thorough review and grading per KLEC approved curriculum; c) Compliance with all DOCJT policies and procedures; d) Compliance with the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct and all applicable Commonwealth of Kentucky Executive Branch ethics requirements; and e) Provide role playing scenarios designed to enhance training and act as a defense attorney or prosecutor, depending on experience. 5) Class Size: a) Basic Training courses generally consist of 24 or more students; and b) In-service Training courses generally consist of up to 80 students, dependent on the course. 6) Equipment: DOCJT issued laptop and projector 7) Class Materials: DOCJT will supply all necessary training aids and material. 8) Attire: Professional 9) Total scope of work hours not to exceed 150 hours per month. a) Total number of hours worked will be based on DOCJT needs. 10) Offeror will be required to obtain either a KLEC Instructor Certification or KLEC Waiver.
