The tasks to be completed by the winning vendor in partnership with DAR and community partners within the 36-month project period are: 1. Mapping, Permitting, and Environmental Compliance - all restoration activitiesinclude a description of needs and plan to complete any remaining preliminarymapping, permitting, and environmental compliance requirements. 2. Invasive wetland vegetation removal: restoration activities include removal ofinvasive mangrove and state acreage to be restored. 3. Native wetland restoration, upland/hillside reforestation, and ungulateexclusion: restoration activities detailed with species to be replanted. 4. Community Engagement and Outreach: inclusion of opportunities to volunteerand learn about restoration efforts, techniques, and traditional Hawaiian practicesthat these activities support. 5. Knowledge Exchange: Plan to support and participate in workshops, trainings,and meetings to share project outcomes on island and elsewhere in the state. 6. Workforce development: number of staff that will receive expert training in agroforestry, traditional indigenous agriculture and conservation, and other relevant new skills. 7. Monitoring: should include metrics for the prior tasks 1 6.
