1. Mapping, Permitting, and Environmental Compliance - all restoration activities include a description of needs and plan to complete any remaining preliminary mapping, permitting, and environmental compliance requirements. 2. Establish land based coral nursery facility: expand Kauaʻi’s capacity to hold, propagate, and research corals at an ex-situ facility. 3. Conduct in-water coral reef restoration: coordinate with DAR Kauaʻi to conduct collection, site selection, and outplanting and monitoring activities. 4. Community Engagement and Outreach: inclusion of opportunities to volunteer and learn about restoration efforts, techniques, and traditional Hawaiian practices that these activities support. 5. Knowledge Exchange: Plan to support and participate in workshops, trainings, and meetings to share project outcomes on island and elsewhere in the state. 6. Workforce development: number of staff that will receive expert training in coral reef restoration and management, SCUBA-based scientific diving, and other relevant new skills. 7. Monitoring: should include metrics for the prior tasks 1 – 6.
