1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS a. Contractor to coordinate with Owner on utility locations. b. County to install all under slab utilities water, sewer, electric. 2. EARTHWORK a. Building to be including finished floor elevation. b. Finished floor of building to be six (6) inches higher than adjacent grade. c. Contractor to provide necessary grading to achieve desired building elevation. d. Final grading around building to be smooth with a uniform slope away from the building. e. Compaction and bearing pressure testing, if needed, to be provided by the Owner. f. Termite treatment to be provided under slab. 3. CONCRETE a. All concrete to have a 28 day compressive strength of 3,000 psi. b. Concrete testing services to be provided by County. c. Concrete mix design to be submitted for approval. d. Concrete finish to be smooth inside the building with a broom finish on the door landings. Concrete inside the building to be sealed with a transparent, non-yellowing, water-based coating. e. All concrete slabs to contain 6 x 6-W10 x W10 welded wire mesh and be a minimum of four (4) inches thick. f. Slab and footing design to be furnished by Contractor as part of the metal building submittal. Plans to include control joints, reinforcing, etc. and be stamped by a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Georgia. g. Reinforcing steel to be Grade 60, Fy = 60,000 psi. h. Expansion joint material between building slab and door landings to be asphalt expansion joint material, W.R. Meadows or equal.
