Miami-Dade County, hereinafter referred to as the “County”, as represented by the Strategic Procurement Department (SPD) on behalf of the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department (PROS), is soliciting Proposals from qualified Proposers to provide comprehensive services for mechanical beach cleaning, and Sargassum collection, removal, and disposal services for MiamiDade County beaches. Proposer(s) may also offer additional optional Proposal(s) for the potential post-collection processing of Sargassum for Beneficial Use services for Miami-Dade County. The objective of this RFP is to mitigate the impact of Sargassum accumulation on the County's beaches, particularly in areas heavily affected by this phenomenon. Additionally, the County seeks to explore innovative and sustainable methods for the removal and the option of processing Sargassum into valuable products.
