A tree pruning construction detail is attached to this document as Figure A. It is required that the Contractor follow this construction detail as well as below: i) The Contractor shall prune dead and dying branches and limbs 2 inches in diameter and greater from the tree canopy. ii) All wood material shall become the property of the Contractor. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to legally dispose of the wood materials at their cost. iii) It is expected that the pruning crew work normal business hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a ½ hour lunch break, for a total of 8 hours per day. The Town reserves the right to modify pruning priorities based on traffic and/or other site conditions as directed by the DPW Superintendent or Police Chief. iv) The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, machinery, tools, and labor necessary for the completion of the work. It is required that the Contractor provide the following machinery and labor for the pruning work: (1) An aerial bucket truck with sufficient vertical capacity to reach the dead or dying limbs. (2) A woodchipper with a capacity to chip the largest limbs removed. (3) A chip truck with a minimum 20 cubic yard chip capacity. (4) A minimum three man work crew...
