The Vessel(s) shall meet and or exceed the following requirements: Vessel must be U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) inspected and certificated to carry passengers for hire. A minimum capacity of sixty (60) passengers is required. A County Marine representative shall evaluate if vessel is feasible for Water Taxi operation. Vessel must have sufficient cargo space for passenger hand-carried baggage. Vessel must have fully operational radar and chart plotter to operate in conditions of limited visibility. Vessel must be able to utilize King County facilities with no modification to King County facilities. Vessel operating must have a minimum cruising speed of 10 knots. It is preferred that vessel’s propulsion system utilizes waterjets; however, a traditional twin propeller system may be considered. Maximum length of vessel can be no more than one hundred twenty (120) feet in length. Vessel must have heated, covered seating area for a minimum of seventy percent (70%) of passengers. Tarps are not acceptable as cover for the enclosed passenger seating area. The Owner/Operator shall: Ensure crews are fully trained to carry out all duties listed on the vessels Station Bill. Deliver the vessel to King County's Pier 48 or 50 facility no later than ½ hour before the beginning of service. Load and unload passengers, using King County docking facilities and other facilities as designated. No modifications shall be made to King County docking facilities. The vessel shall be, in all respects, ready for service at the time of delivery. Moor the vessel during down time and overnight at King County facilities unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. Adhere to the King County Water Taxi sailing schedule as assigned during times of operation. Promptly remove the vessel from King County facilities at the completion of the Charter to not interrupt normal resumed ferry service. King County is not responsible for the cost of vessel delivery or return. Submittal requirements
