The County of Riverside Purchasing, on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office – Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), solicits Anti-Vehicle Equipment quotations as detailed in this RFQ. Riverside County, established in 1893 from portions of San Bernardino and San Diego counties, is the fourth largest in California, covering over 7,300 square miles. The law enforcement professionals of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, with a staff of over 4,000 dedicated men and women, cover this expanse of Southern California and serve its communities' citizens with integrity, professionalism, leadership, and loyalty. The equipment listed in Exhibit “A” will expand the County’s inventory of existing equipment. To maintain the integrity of existing inventory, the Sheriff’s Office will only accept Meridian brand products. Annual Certification for Training is required for this purchase. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office seeks quotes from qualified distributors of Meridian Rapid Defense Group brand of products for this purchase. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office was awarded an Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant to enhance safety within the community. A portion of the grant is designated for improving our vehicle barricades countywide. The intended benefits of this project are to provide anti-vehicle equipment that is rapidly deployable.
