Crested Butte is seeking qualified applicants to develop a 2025 Facilities Energy Efficiency & Electrification Plan (“Plan”). The focus of the Plan shall be on developing a work plan that includes Town building stock improvement plans and electrification projects that the Town can utilize on a long-term timeline and incorporates existing capital improvement plans. The Town requires a Plan that: 1. Identifies a prioritized list of Town properties, ranked from least energy efficient to the most energy efficient, upon which to make improvements over the next 20-25 years. 2. Identifies energy systems that may be electrified or utilize other renewable energy resources (e.g., geothermal). 3. Outlines estimated project costs and GHG emissions reduction potentials. 4. Coordinates scheduled Town facility improvements, remodels, new construction, and electrification opportunities into this Plan. 5. Identifies building-by-building efficiency improvements or electrification projects. 6. Leverages previous work, such as the Town’s 2021 Energy Performance Contract (ERP), PV installation data, and the 2022 GHG Emissions Inventory, to inform this Plan. 7. Identifies possible near-term funding resources and tax incentives.
