1. General: a. Work closely with the Transit Division staff to ensure that all information is available for the completion of the Project. b. Collect Transit Division staff provided bus shelter site information. c. Provide replacement bus shelters with the following dimensions: 57” (width) x 110” (length) x 91” (height). d. Design replacement bus shelter and amenities to be compliant with: i. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. ii. Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. iii. All Federal, State, County, Local, and other government laws, regulations, ordinance, and codes. 2. Design Phase Services: a. Review the provided bus shelter site information. b. Provide bus shelter designs that meet the above-mentioned dimensions and engineered to the following baseline standards: i. Structure and components shall meet or exceed the 20-year useful life expectancy. ii. Support structure shall be capable of being secured to a four to sixinch concrete pad and not require poured footings. iii. Structures shall be certified to meet or exceed minimum snow and wind load requirements as stated in the latest International Building Code (IBC) for the Midwest region. iv. Shelter frame and roof shall be made of a corrosion-resistant metal with a protective coating applied to the exterior. v. Shelter side panels shall conform to the following: i. Allow visibility of approaching bus and surroundings. ii. Scratch resistant. iii. Shatterproof. iv. Easily cleaned.
