The Town of Amherst seeks a qualified roofing contractor with slate roofing experience to carry out repairs to the roof of the Munson Memorial Library Building located at 1046 South East Street. Necessary repairs include replacement of missing and broken roof slates (approximately 100 slate tile), the replacement of chimney flashing with new copper flashing around one of the building’s two chimneys, the replacement of approximately sixty-two (62) feet of gutter on the rear of the building and the replacement of approximately twenty-four (24) feet of snow retention. The slate used to complete this work must match the existing slate in color and texture. All work on the Munson Memorial Library Building roof must be in keeping with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Buildings.
