These items were installed by Drivewyze, and run on Drivewyze software, which has then been incorporated into Colorado's Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety and Enforcement systems. No other vendor can maintain the equipment AND the connection to the software system. To continue utilizing these devices, we must continue to pay the maintenance fees. The yearly option allows the state to choose to decommission this equipment or replace it as it becomes unservicable. At such a time, consideration for a vendor change may or may not become appropriate. but as long as the devices are in good working order and in use, the maintenance and service must come from the installing vendor.
