The scope of work includes the structural design of an office break room expansion and a new 30’x36’x14’ eave stick built shop building. All designs shall be in accordance with Columbia County’s building code standards. Costs and fees will not be considered under this SOQ process. The winning firm, based on SOQ evaluations, will be invited to begin fee negotiations. The County will provide the drafting services for the preparation of plans and specifications based on the structural design recommendations. Structural plan sheets shall be stamped by the structural engineer licensed in Washington. Columbia County Engineer will be responsible for all the engineering related to site development, plumbing, electrical, insulation, etc., which are those elements not related to the structural design elements. The county will provide geotechnical engineering services based on the requirements set forth by the structural engineer.
