Per Health and Safety Code Sections 41856-41859, Division 26, Subchapter 2, the meteorological data provided through this contract is required by the Smoke Management Guidelines for Agricultural and Prescribed Burning, to assist the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Duty Meteorologist in formulating decisions made daily in support of the State’s Agricultural Burning Program. CARB is seeking a Contractor to make daily flights and record air temperature readings. During each flight, air temperatures will be recorded at 500-foot intervals, including surface, to an elevation of 5,000 feet above the ground at the Columbia Airport (CUF) in Columbia, California. This shall be completed five (5) days a week for the duration of the agreement. Contract term shall be for twenty-four (24) months from the time of execution. More detailed information can be found in the Draft Standard Agreement. CARB’s budget for this project is $75,000.00. Bids exceeding this amount may be deemed non- responsive and ineligible for award.
