Under its Affordable Housing Incubator, funded by Regional Early Action Planning (REAP 2.0), the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) is seeking technical assistance to establish regional Objective Design Standards (ODS). This project falls under the discipline of land use and zoning. The goal of this project is to create adoptable ODS that streamline approval processes for multifamily and mixed-use development, especially affordable developments. The ODS will be customizable for cities, as they can adopt what they deem relevant for their city. Under this project, the Consultant will also work with an estimated 4-6 individual cities (participating cities) to assist with the incorporation of the ODS into their municipal code. Participating Cities will commit to considering the ODS for adoption or otherwise taking action to implement the ODS by the expenditure deadline of June 31, 2026.
