The GLO is requesting Bids for four (4) airboats with trailers to be delivered to multiple Oil Spill Division regional locations. Delivery shall be based on location of each regional office. Boats and trailers must be towable and operational at time of delivery. The Oil Spill Division regional offices require these boats to ensure Oil Spill program personnel are capable of conducting spill response and patrol activities in remote coastal areas, and potentially shallow waters. Equipment Specifications for Regions 1, 2 and 5; Airboat Specifications; Airboat example models: Patriot Airboat, Model: Law Enforcement Edition; American Airboat, Model: AirRanger Edition; or GLO approved substitution with equal specifications. • Fuel injected marine engine with minimum 600 horsepower adequate for this specified vessel. • Minimum 18' by 8' hull with 2 ft. grass rake. • Hull constructed of guaranteed all marine alloy 5086 with 3/16” bottom and 1/8” sides including 7 heavy duty 2” x 2”x3/8” T-bars. • Minimum 6" aluminum walk arounds. • Heavy duty mid ship gusset designed out of 2 ½” x 3” marine alloy 5086. • Aluminum flooring covered with epoxy non-skid. • Non-skid on deck and side rails. • 3/8 Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW) polymer attached with 5/16 aluminum aircraft rivets on bottom, 3/8 UHMW polymer attached with 5/16 aluminum aircraft rivets 8-10" up sides of hull. • Aluminum instrument panel to include ignition battery voltage gauge, oil pressure gauge tachometer, water temperature gauge, hour meter, kill switch, 4 toggle switches, and circuit breakers in every switch, including fuel gauge. • Oversized side by side rear operator seat to allow for gear and bulky clothing, seat cushion and rain cover. Trailer Specifications; Trailer example models: Custom McClain Trailer or Custom Coastline Trailer specifically manufactured for boat listed above, or GLO approved substitution with equal specifications. • Heavy duty aluminum tandem axle trailer capable of safely hauling the boat listed above at highway speeds. • Include heavy duty I-beam frame. • Heavy duty flex axles with acculube or GLO approved equal system. • Submersible led trailer lights. • Tilt trailer function. • 2 5/16” ball coupler/hitch. • Full size spare tire mounted to trailer. Equipment Specifications for Region 3; Airboat Specifications; Airboat example models: Diamondback Airboat DB Model, American Airboat AirRanger Edition, or GLO approved substitution with equal specifications. • Minimum 600HP fuel injected engine, aluminum radiator, prop, and all associated parts appropriate size for 20’ airboat with 8 passengers and gear. • Minimum hull length: 20’. • Bow rake at minimum 24”. • Minimum 8” gunnel walk arounds from bow to stern or start of engine cage, painted in non-skid. • Aluminum floor painted in non-skid. • Bottom of hull covered with minimum 3/8” UHMW polymer attached with stainless steel bolts and nylon locking nuts. • 2 cushioned bucket seats for driver/passenger with center console for electronics. Dry storage with hatch under seats or center console accessible by driver. Center console needs to house a recessed screen with a minimum 7” Garmin GPS or GLO approved equal. • Tachometer, engine coolant and oil temperature gauges, fuel gauge, and kill switch. 12v socket for accessories mounted to console. Marine VHF radio can be mounted in console or in dry storage under seats/console. Antenna for radio mounted to engine cage. • 2 rows of 3 passenger cushioned bench seats. One or both bench seats should have dry storage box underneath. • Enclosed deck minimum 3’ at bow with hatch for storage space and access to winch. Trailer Specifications; Trailer example models: Custom McClain Trailer or Custom Coastline Trailer specifically manufactured for boat listed above, or GLO approved substitution with equal specifications. • Appropriate size and fitted for boat, with dual torsion axles. • All welded aluminum fasteners must be stainless steel, fender wells must support minimum 250 pounds, and either non-skid or diamond tread, lined with poly/nylon/Teflon on any place the boat could contact. • Guide on rails near rear of trailer. • No carpet anywhere on trailer. Bunks should be lined with poly/nylon/teflon. • Rollers at rear of trailer for loading boat from ground level. • Swivel trailer jack. • Hand crank winch of appropriate capacity with strap. • Submersible led lighting. • 2 5/16” hitch. • Full size spare tire mounted to trailer. • Minimum one year warranty or manufacturers standard warranty, whichever is longer.
