The scope of this project includes addressing the sinkhole and stabilizing the approach roadway just north of the abutment for La Salle NB over Newmarket Creek. Sawcut: Saw-cut asphalt concrete full depth will be measured in linear feet and will be paid for at the contract unit price per linear foot. Limits of sawcut shall be at the horizontal location shown on the plans. The price shall be full compensation for saw-cutting the asphalt pavement, cleaning up debris, and disposal of waste material. Sheet Pile Wall: The steel sheet pile wall shall meet the requirements of Section 402 of the Specifications. Steel sheet piles provided shall meet the minimum section properties for PZ22 steel sheet piles and shall be installed at the horizontal locations and to the vertical limits shown on the plans. Sheet pile installation, measurement, and payment shall be in accordance with Section 402 of the Specifications. Structural Steel: The steel plate shall be tack welded to the top of the steel sheet pile wall, behind the abutment, and shall meet the requirements of ASTM A36 per Section 226 of the Specifications. The structural steel will be paid for at the contract lump sum price for structural steel in accordance with Section 407 of the Specifications. The price for structural steel shall include furnishing, fabricating, transporting, storing, erecting, and tack welding.
