Furniture Handling Units contain furniture that shall be moved by the Contractor to allow for proper cleaning and floor waxing. Contractor shall remove, store, and reinstall furniture in suites at the end of each day. Contractor shall coordinate with the COR to locate an area to temporarily store the furniture, so that all means of egress are clear at all times. Contractor shall use great care when handling furniture to ensure no damage during the move. Contractor will return furniture to final locations within unit, as shown on the attached floor plans. Beds shall be set to height at 3rd notch. Full Unit Cleaning • Remove all trash from entire unit, including unwanted matter inside desks, wardrobes, cabinets, microwaves, and refrigerators. • Protect all finishes from damage due to harsh chemicals. • Remove all food particles, grease, and grime from both inside and outside of microwaves and refrigerators. Refrigerators shall remain unplugged. • Vacuum sofa fabric on top and underneath cushions. • Remove all dirt, marks, and smudges from desks and wardrobes (inside and outside), walls, doors, windows, windowsills, blinds, trim, countertops, sinks, cabinets, mirrors, toilets, and light fixtures. • Scrub and sanitize shower stalls and faucets to remove all soap scum, mold, mildew, and dirt. • Remove dust from the exterior and interior side of grills on mechanical vents. • Sweep and mop floors. VCT Floor Preparation and Waxing – *MAGNOLIA HOUSE FLOORS 3 AND 4 ONLY (Total of 44 Suites) • Remove all furniture as set forth above. • Strip floors using manufacturer's approved wax floor stripper. • Clean and prep floor to receive new wax. • Use Diversey Wax Floor Finish brand name or equal wax. • Apply three (3) coats of wax in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. • Allow sufficient time for floor to cure, before reinstalling furniture.
