The project involves the replacement of luminaires (light heads) on existing historic light poles in downtown South San Francisco. The scope focuses on the removal and replacement of the existing light heads on Grand Avenue from Airport boulevard to Spruce Avenue, and on Linden Avenue from Airport Avenue to Railroad Avenue. The historic light poles are to remain protected in place, with no modifications to their structure, ensuring the preservation of their historic integrity. The scope of work also includes: • Replacement of the existing light heads on the alley connecting Grand Avenue to the Miller Avenue parking garage. • Replacement of the existing light heads and poles at the playground located at the eastern end of Pine Avenue.
