Technicians preform all of the work at each fire station with the vendors own equipment including a mobile pump testing system. NFPA Standards must be followed for all work. Fire Hose: All fire hose is tested regardless of diameter, and includes all hose removed, tested using hydrostatic test machines, labeled and re-packed on fire apparatus. All work must follow NFPA hose standards including NFPA 1962, Standard for the Care, Use, Inspection, Service Testing, and Replacement of Fire Hose, Couplings, Nozzles, and Fire Hose Appliances, 2018 Edition. Detailed report of testing is required for each station. Fire Apparatus Fire Pumps: Fire pumps are to be tested in each fire station parking lot using vendor supplied portable pump test system.
