• Conduct Jewish religious education classes • Verify Jewish Heritage for Incarcerated Persons requesting Religious Accommodation • Provide general Pastoral Care to Jewish Incarcerated Persons, which may include: consultation concerning religious issues, grief care, crisis pastoral counseling, pastoral visitation with incarcerated persons, etc. • Attend an annual, mandatory ODRC Religious Service meeting • Make referrals of Incarcerated Persons to appropriate services • Distribute religious literature and/or materials • Assist chaplain in appropriate duties and/or conducting of religious programs • Consultation and supervision of Jewish holidays: Passover (Pesach), Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Shemini Atzeret • Complete a monthly report form on services provided – to be submitted to the DWSS and the ODRC Religious Services Administrator, Operation Support Center – Not later than the fifth of the month. • Provide Specialized Ministry Services including: o Pastoral care and/or visitation of Incarcerated Persons in special units. This may include segregation, infirmary, living units or visiting room.
