1. Material Requirements Guardrail sections shall meet current Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) standards. All materials must be new and of first‐quality grade. Guardrail posts shall be galvanized steel. Fasteners, end treatments, and accessories shall conform to applicable TDOT standards. 2. Work Requirements Removal of damaged guardrails, posts, and associated hardware. Proper disposal of removed materials in accordance with state and federal regulations. Installation of new guardrails, posts, and end treatments as specified. Traffic control in accordance with TDOT standards during all phases of work. Traffic control plans must be submitted to and approved by the city prior to commencement of work. 3. Site Conditions Contractors must inspect each worksite before submitting a bid. Restoration of disturbed areas, including grading, seeding, and sodding as required. 4. Timeframe for Completion Work must commence within 30 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. All work must be completed within 60 calendar days unless otherwise approved by the City.
