The District is currently soliciting a comprehensive bid for preventive maintenance, maintenance, service and repair of their 2-way radios, portable radios and mobile dash mounted radios along with their accessories and equipment Repeaters, towers, etc., district wide. The District has a school bus fleet of an estimated 350 units among buses, SUV’s, service units, etc., which have dash mounted two way radios. We are asking for proposals to provide preventive maintenance service to each unit in the fleet at minimum of 4 times a year (the dates to be determined by the district and the awarded vendor). Schedule for maintenance will be as follows: The first week of the month (August, November, February, May). Technicians need to report to dispatch upon arrival to advise that they are on site and to obtain any other information that might be vital to service repairman. This service must include but not limited to: Inspection of the antennae, connectors, battery connections and repairs accordingly Test radio for transmit, receive and reflective power and adjust accordingly Inspect palm microphone Perform a test call from radio to home base Test caller ID functionality and the reprogramming of caller ID if necessary 1. Provide pricing for each unit for a 4-times a year inspection. (The district reserves the right to use this pricing for other fleet vehicles in other District departments i.e., police department, maintenance, etc., as applicable) 2. Provide an annual lump sum pricing for 100% of the transportation fleet containing dash-mounted two way radios for inspection 4-times a year. Preventive Maintenance for all portable radios (min 20 radios) The district has an estimated 1300-1500 portal radios. Radios is either fixed or replaced with same or comparable radio All parts and programming are covered under maintenance warranty with the exception of the battery Radio must be picked up within 24 hours and repaired or replaced within 72 hours after notification. If radio is repaired more than 4 times in a given year, radio Is replaced on the fifth service call.
