A. MATERIALS: 1. HDPE pipe shall be Type S, double wall, with an annular corrugated exterior and a smooth interior wall that conforms to AASHTO M294 standards. 2. Pipe shall be joined with a gasket integral bell & spigot: Bell and spigot joints with a factory‐installed gasket on the spigot (elastomeric seal per ASTM F477) shall meet the watertight requirements of ASTM D3212 (laboratory pressure tested at 10.8 psi). Gaskets shall be installed by the pipe manufacturer and covered with a removable, protective wrap to ensure the gaskets are free from debris. 3. Joint lubricant shall be used on the gasket and bell during assembly and included in the shipment of pipe from the manufacturer. 4.
