Evapotranspiration inputs for experimental and mine site water balances will provide information that will help improve the accuracy of mine site water budget calculations and inform reclamation strategies for mine closure. We are looking for a lower cost and easier to manage option for collecting direct evapotranspiration measurements using a simplified but accurate technology for evapotranspiration monitoring which uses the eddy covariance method in a condensed package with one main sensor. The equipment must be easy to install or move (portable) and include all the hardware (including sensor, base, tower, battery, solar power, cellular communications, etc.), routine equipment calibrations and replacement/repair assistance, and required software needed to take actual evapotranspiration measurements and provide automated results. The sensor should connect automatically to a cloud-based software or similar, to provide remote data collection and monitoring. We are seeking two of the above monitoring station packages.
